Overview
TrustMRR Extension ("the Extension") is committed to transparency about how we handle data. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
Summary: The Extension collects anonymous usage metrics locally to improve content display. Some startups pay for increased visibility, and this is clearly disclosed with "Sponsored" labels on their cards.
Data We Collect
Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The Extension stores the following data locally using Chrome's storage API and localStorage:
- Favorites: Startups you've saved to your favorites list

- View History: Recently viewed startups (last 20, cleared after 4 hours) to provide variety
- Anonymous Engagement Metrics: View counts, click counts, and time spent per startup card (used to optimize content rotation)
- Session Statistics: Number of new tabs opened, used for display frequency
This data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

- Browsing history outside the new tab page
